What are 's greenhouse gas emissions and emissions targets?

The default data source is Climate Watch. For non-annex I countries, national inventory data can be found in the UNFCCC timeline on the top of the page.

Explore Emissions
Please note that the level of emissions in future years is estimated based on the mitigation targets communicated by countries in their pre-2020 pledges and nationally determined contributions, which might differ from historical emissions presented in terms of source, sector and gas coverage, GWP values and inventory methodologies used. The historical levels of emissions and future target levels of emissions are presented on the same chart for illustration only and analysis drawn directly from the chart is therefore limited.
For detailed methodology and data sources used, please refer to UNEP’s Pledge Pipeline.

What are important sectoral emissions drivers in ?

The following indicators show representative emissions drivers from the energy, agriculture and LUCF sectors and their respective ranking compared to other countries.

What are the top-line targets from the climate commitments?

Below summarizes country's key climate commitments, including the latest NDC, LTS and net-zero target. Explore more indicators about the country's climate commitments in each respective module.

What adaptation plans are covered in NDCs?

    Explore NDC Content
The colored symbols represent adaptation actions prioritized by this country in its NDCs; grey symbols represent areas where there are currently no adaptation actions. These dots are mapped against critical systems that need an acceleration of adaptation efforts to address the impacts of climate change. These critical systems were identified in the Global Commission on Adaptation's flagship report "Adapt Now."

How vulnerable is to climate risks?

The poor are disproportionately affected by climate risks such as sea level rise, increases in temperature and more erratic rainfall, often experienced as more frequent and extreme weather events such as storms, floods, and droughts. Because the poor are more exposed and sensitive to such impacts and generally have lower capacity and fewer resources with which to adapt, they are more vulnerable to climate change.
Their vulnerability makes them less resilient to the impacts of climate change. Supporting the inclusion of the poor in planning and implementing adaptation actions and ensuring that a greater share of adaptation funding reaches local communities can improve their readiness to adapt to climate change and reduce poverty.

How do renewables generate jobs and reduce energy costs over time?

    Explore more on IRENA

The increasing uptake of renewable sources of energy into countries' energy mix is generating green jobs and driving down the cost of electricity, making them competitive or even cheaper than non-renewable sources in certain geographies.

What are the linkages between undefined's NDCs and the SDGs?

    Explore Global Linkages
The colored dots represent the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for which there is an aligned climate target, action, policy measure or need in the NDC. This alignment was identified based only on the information communicated in the NDC, not the domestic policy context. It is therefore only an entry point for considering the degree of potential alignment between the country’s climate and sustainable development objectives. The analysis covers NDCs submitted prior to May 2021.
